The Hebrews dwelt in Egypt for 430 years
- Ex 12:40
Or was it...
They dwelt in Egypt for 400 years
- Acts 7:6
The Hebrews' journey itinerary:
What's this? A change of plans?
Start with a tour of sunny
The god-delivered plague of murrain killed all the Egyptians' horses, and all livestock
-Ex 9:3-6

New plagues come that cause festering boils to appear on the Egyptians' livestock (who were all killed previously), and next comes a hailstone that will kill all Egyptian livestock that are not brought to shelter (it even details how some of Pharaoh's men secretly believed in the god of abrahm and brought their livestock in shelter before these storms came) - kinda funny when all livestock were dead already
-Ex 9:8-10; 18-20
After all this cattle and livestock mutilation, suddenly and without explanation, the horses are back (again?) when Pharaoh orders his chariots to chase down the fleeing Hebrews.
...maybe *Pharaoh's* god was helping the Egyptians?
-Ex14:7-9
We find god creating animals and then man
- Gen 1:25-26
But somehow it turns out that god created man and then created the animals one by one for adam to name whilst trying to create a mate for him
... "a little animal action, anyone?"
-Gen 2:18-19
God was satisfied with his creation...
- Gen 1:4, 10, 12, 21, 25
God was dissatisfied with his creation
-Gen 2:5, 18
NOTE:
It seems he even "forgot" about having someone around to tend the grounds.
He also tried x+1 times to find a mate for adam before he succeeded. Where x = the number of species of every animal ever on the earth.
We begin with god creating man in his own image; male & female
- Gen 1:27
Yet god has to put adam to sleep and create a woman from one of his ribs a little later...
- Gen 2:21-22
Welcome!
If you've been here before, welcome back! This work was originally compiled way back in 1994, then formatted for the Newton in '95, and the first web pages in '96. This is the most recent incarnation and the first major overhaul in nearly ten years (wow, does time fly or what?).
These pages now represent a version of work involving the study of religion. For years, I have assembled notes and jotted down thoughts and phrases concerning what I felt were the biggest points along my learning journey.
