God has a friendly meeting with his arch enemy, satan, but god somehow doesn't even recognize him
- Job 1:6-7

The two have a wager over how much suffering it would take before righteous job will reject god.
- Job 1:8-12

God first has job's whole family killed and his livelihood ruined in
- Job 1:13-19

then job is afflicted by a loathsome plague that scars his body and we find him scraping his wounds in
- Job 2:7-8

So god wins the bet. (how could an omniscient being fail to win?)
Oh the fun of it, watching satan waxing god's car for a week- hee hoo, to laugh.

You gotta admit- these two really have a sense of humor.
