This site represents a body of work that has been a hobby of mine since the early 90s.

Originally meant to be a mobile application (for the Newton. Kids, google it or ask your parents), I wanted to have a ready answer for those who told me to my face, with a straight face, that there were no contradictions in the bible.

I knew there were plenty, but since I was making the assertion (technically, they are making the assertion that it is without error, but pointing this out will not help anyone to understand more about their world) I figured I’d better be able to come up with a few really good ones.

Here, you’ll find a lot of really good ones. There are also some that may seem like splitting hairs. However, there can be no such thing when we’re providing counter examples to the bold (and ignorant) statement that, “The bible has no contradictions or errors”.

That’s what they tend to claim. Not, “The bible has no *serious* contradictions or errors” although this is the next fall-back position to take once you see just how full of holes the collection of books truly is.

Why do you do this? You must hate god.

I get variations of this all the time. No, I don’t believe in god at all- much less harbor a feeling of anger toward him. What I do “hate” is the threat that some day my and others’ liberties will be taken away or curtailed if we allow theology and magical thinking to grip our society like it did in the Middle Ages. Hell, like it did only recently in Talibani Afghanistan.

I want you to come away asking yourself, “why would I or anyone believe nonsense like, ‘this highly human book is the inerrant word of some god’ “.
